Family vacation day 6

Today we mostly did a lot of driving. We left TN at noon & got in to MO around 6:30 pm central time. We did stop and eat at Cracker Barrel on the way to MO. It's a southern tradition you know.

We all were playing this game while we were waiting for our food.
Here are some horse things that I saw and that I wanted. They were in the cracker barrel gift shop. These are pictures that I really wanted.

Go Banana Splitz!

So at my youth group (church is Sonlight Christian Center in the Orange Circle.) there is 2 times where we have a big rally. It's called L.I.F.E.! It's 10 weeks twice a year! They have games, worship, bible lesson, raffle drawing, etc. For the games there is 4 teams. Each team has a team name, colors, chant, theme, banner, etc. My team for this semester is Banana Splitz!
Our team colors are: yellow, black, pink, & red. So we dress in yellow shirts, black pants, pink wristbands, red hats. The red hats are supposed to be the cherry on top of the banana split!

Today I will be starting a Christmas countdown. I made myself a Christmas advent/countdown. I put things that tell the Christmas story in a stocking and everyday I pull out one thing. This idea went into ideas for blog posts for my Christmas countdown. So I take a picture of that days item, choose a bible verse that goes it and choose a song that goes with it. Everyday I will be telling you a little more of the Christmas story. Today is day one. I will be doing this everyday till Christmas.

Luke 1:26-38

Facts on Honey and Cinnamon:

Cinnamon and Honey

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do
what some call turning to sugar. In reality honey is always honey.
However,
when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will do what I rather
call
"crystallizing".

When this happens I loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey
container in the hot water, off the heat and let it liquefy. It is then as
good as it ever was.

Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes
in the honey. (I didn't know this. I guess I'd better change my ways).

Cinnamon and Honey

~ Bet the drug companies won't like this one getting around.~

Facts on Honey and Cinnamon:

It is found that a mixture of honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey
is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also
accept honey as a 'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all
kinds of diseases.

Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of diseases.

Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right
dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients.

Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada , in its issue dated 17
January,1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by

honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists:

HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly
and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in
the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack.
Also, those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily,
they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above
process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat.
In America and Canada , various nursing homes have treated patients
successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose
their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the
arteries and veins.

ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water
with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If
taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research

conducted at the Copenhagen University , it was found that
when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon
Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast,
they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated,
practically totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all
the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis
started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a
glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in
16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce
the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.
As mentioned for arthritic pat ients, if taken three times a day, any chronic
cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal,
pure honey taken with fo od daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon
lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This
process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach
ulcers from the root.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if
Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and
protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found
that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of
Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral
diseases.

INDIGESTION:
Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food
relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA:
A scientist in Spain has proved t hat honey contains a natural '
Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the
ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon
powder, and three cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup,
three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old
age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old, starts performing
the chores of a 20-year-old.

PIMPLES:
Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste.
Apply paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning
with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the
root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:
Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts
cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

WEIGHT LOSS:
Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach,
and
at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup
of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese
person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to
accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie
diet.

CANCER:
Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of
the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from
these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one

teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month three times a day.

FATIGUE:
Recent studies h ave shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful
rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens,
who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible.

Dr... Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey

taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after

brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality of the body

starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

BAD BREATH:
People of South America , first thing in the morning, gargle with one
teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath
stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS:
Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts
restores hearing. Remember when we were kids? We had toast with real butter
and cinnamon sprinkled on it!

Patty visits an old folks home.

A while back I took my dog, Patty Cake to an old folks home as a therapy dog. She is not a therapy dog yet. Here is what I said.

Hi I'm Christine this is my mom and this is my dog Patty Cake.

She is a cockapoo. She is half poodle and half cocker spaniel. It is a very popular breed right now. She gets her white curly hair from the poodle side and she gets her long body, short legs, big feet, long ears and her patches of gold coloring from the cocker spaniel. She is very sweet, lovable, and loyal. She is extremely smart. She also has a few negitive qualities. She's a little stubborn, she thinks she is a guard dog so she barks a lot.

We tell her she is supposed to be cute and coy, not courageous. But she doesn't listen. Her biggest fault is she likes to attack big dogs. We adopted her from the pound. After we got her home I wanted to call her "Cup Cake" but the pound had named her "Patty." I kept getting confused between them. So mom suggested I conbine them and name her "Patty Cake." We have had her for a 12 months. We have trained her to do a few tricks that I would like to show you. Sit,

lay, stay, come, up.

The next thing I would like to do is train her to be a therapy dog. We would like to show you on the video a trick she surprised us with. Pattys favorite thing in the whole world is to be held like a baby.

We call this the "baby thing." We are going to bring Patty Cake around. We can tell her to sit so you can pet her. Or she can put her paws on your lap.

Or we can put her in your lap and you can do the baby thing.

On Sundays I would like to share with you all one of my favorite worship songs. I have a whole list of them that I would like to share with you. So every Sunday I will post one of my favorite worship songs. But first I want to start with my testimony. After you read it you'll see why I wanted to start with it. I would not be starting this column if it were not for my testimony. That lead me to start this column.

I know I have been saying that I would post my testimony for a long time. Well, I'm finally posting it. On the side of my blog I said that my testimony was a post for another day. Well, today is the day. Here it is.

Before I jump into the story I want to tell you that I have always grown up in a good christian home. I always said I was a christian because everyone else in my family was a christian. But I never really knew what it meant to be a christian. Let's jump into the story.

When I was 6 or 7 years old I had several dreams/visions. I don't know if they were dreams or visions. I don't even know if they were true or not, but it was really strange. In one of my dreams the Holy Spirit kept telling me “Ask Jesus into your heart” It was like He was really trying to save my soul. That night I remember praying and asking Jesus to come into my heart. But I didn't feel any different. I had the same dreams for several more nights in a row. I did the same thing over and over again. But I still didn't feel like I was a Christian. At the end of my brother's 6th birthday party Mom prayed with all the little kids that were there, including me. She asked us all if we wanted to have Jesus as our savior. We said “yes”. Even after doing that again I still did not feel like a Christian. Songs meant nothing to me. There were just something that I learned in Sunday School.

Well, a couple of years ago, I was going to bed and I overheard Mom and Dad talking. Dad was worried that He was having a heart attack. So Mom and Dad were still talking when I went to bed. When Mom came to give me hugs and kisses she said “Dad and I are going to run an errand” This was at 11:00 at night. I was thinking “You guys are crazy. No stores are going to be open this late.” I knew something was up. But I didn't know what. So after Mom left from giving me good night hugs and kisses, her and dad left to run their so called “errand” At 11:30 at night. I was getting scared. I didn't know what to do. Mom and Dad were gone. It was just brother and I and our dog left at home. So first I tried going to my brother for security. He wasn't worried. But I was. So I went back to bed and I remember praying to God that Dad would be okay. For a long time that night I just kept crying out to God.

All the sudden out of no where I felt this peace. I had never felt this kind of peace in my life before. I felt God's hand on my shoulder.
You know when chickens lay eggs they sit on them and cover them with their wings to protect them? Well, that's what God does for us. When we ask Him into our hearts we become His children and he covers us with His wings to protect us. It was like He had covered me with His wings to protect me.
He was letting me know that everything is going to be all right and that He had it under control.

That night I finally felt like I was Christian. Before songs had never meant anything to me. But now they mean more than I can say. That night I remembered the dreams that I had as a little girl. They seemed to make sense. It was like God was trying to tell me that without Him we are lost.

Every year for Halloween we stay home and hand out tracks and candy to the trick -or-treaters. Brother and I usually make the tracks. Every year the tracks are a different theme. I try to take something that has to do with Halloween and incorporate the Christian message into it. This year the theme of my tracks was bats. Here is the finished track from this year.

Did you know that bats are blind? We are like bats. We can be blind too. Bats have no natural way to know where to go, but with their “sonar,” they can move completely accurately. Without their sonar, bats wouldn't be able to move freely. They would bump into things, they wouldn't have anything to help them get around. Before we excepted Christ, we were blinded from the truth. We didn't know which way to go. But with the Holy Spirit, (our sonar) we don't have to wonder where to walk. He protects our every step and takes us to the right place. But when we accepted Him into our hearts and believed that He died and rose again, we were then able to see clearly spiritually.

I think this track pretty much sums up my whole testimony. What this tracks says, I think God was trying to tell me when I was little.

Being a christian has made having special needs easier. Having special needs is a blessing in disguise. I have been been able to help so many people with their problems because I have been there, done that and I know what it feels like to be different. God made me different and that's okay because He has a plan for my life. It has been a very humbling experience because you feel like your below everybody else. When really your not. We are all equal in God's eyes. Who said we had to compare ourselves to others? Nobody. In our society today it's all about comparing. It's about who is better than the other. We need to realize that that is not realistic thinking. It's okay if we're different than others. That's who God made us to be. We shouldn't be ashamed of it. I just want to say, that I would not be where I am today in life if it were not for my problems.

I will talk about some of my issues and how I have been able to help others because of it in the posts to come.

Just to let you know, Dad was fine. He just had a really bad chest cold.

KECSA (Kawinis Equestrian Competition For Special Athletes) Horse Show.

I have had lots of people ask about how the horse show went and they all said they want to see pictures. Well, this is the blog post you have all been waiting for. I'm finally blogging about it. Yay. So here goes.
This past Sunday was the horse show. It was part of the Special Olympics. We drove up Saturday night and ate dinner with the show team. Miss Darlene, our riding instructor, wanted everyone to drive up Saturday so she could show us around and then everyone would be there for the show team dinner. The restaurant where we ate had horse decor everywhere. It was so cool. Here is a picture of the menu. I thought it was so pretty.

After our family ate we left early and went to the hotel room so I could get to bed. Miss Darlene wanted everyone to stay in a hotel Saturday night because everyone needed to be up early the next morning for the show. Sunday morning we got up and I got all dolled up for the show.

Most of us had to get up about 6 or 6:30 a.m. because we had to be at the show grounds at 7:30 a.m.

I rode to the show with my new friend from the show team. The rest of my family met me there.

When we got to the show we put our numbers and our participation ribbons and buttons on.

After that there was extra time. So we just hung around and talked.

The show started a little after 8am.

The show started with all the teams walking into the arena with their team banner.

Here is our team.

After all the teams were in the arena the War Horses & Militaria Heritage Foundation came out with the flag and we did the Pledge Of Allegiance,

We sang the National Anthem and everyone left the arena.

After every event there was waiting around time. During the second period of waiting time we all got goody bags. In the goody bags was a little stuffed animal horse. I named mine Butter Cup.

After we got our goody bags it was time to start lining up for equitation.

My horse's name is Calvin. I think he's cute. They had him all dolled up. He was so pretty and girly that day.

I won second place in equitation.

After I did equitation, I went strait to the trail competition. So the only two events I was in, I did back to back.

After I did trail I was done riding for the day. We didn't find out if I placed in trail or not till about 4 pm. The show didn't end till 4:15 pm. I was done riding about 11:30 am. Since there was time to kill between events several of us took a nap.

It was a beautiful day outside for taking naps. The weather was nice.

I won first place in trail in my heat. I was so happy.

After our team got all of our awards, we took a group picture.

Then we all went home. I really enjoyed riding the horse and just being around all the horses.

Horse back riding

I have always been horse crazy since I was a little girl. I have been in horse back riding lessons for 3 or sessions now. I am now getting ready for my very first horse show this weekend. It's part of the Special Olympics. The place I take horse back riding lessons is called Ride Your Horse. It's therapeutic riding school.
This past Saturday we went to Norco and went to Thrifty Horse and Boot Barn with a few moms and their girls from the show team. We had a lot of fun. I got boots, chaps, a shirt, a jacket, and a hair net with a black bow on it. Before we all went to shopping we went to this ladies house and saw her horses. In her side walk was 2 horse shoes.

Then after that we all went out to eat. We went to a restaurant called Saddle Sore Saloon. When you drove up the the restaurant you felt like you were out of state. You felt like you were back east. The city of Norco that we were in had a total country feel. I felt like I was in Texas.

Being in Norco is so much fun.

This session of horse back riding I have gotten to do so much more than I ever dreamed or even thought of doing. I'm so excited. This round of horse back riding I have gotten to ride the horse all by myself with no side walker or lead line.

The next thing I never thought I would ever get to do is walk the horse using a lead line.

Last night at the last horse show practice I got to walk the horse using a lead line. I was so excited and speechless. If I were not on the show team I would not be learning so much so fast. I have been practicing obstacle courses, going through the diagonals, equitation, walking the horse with a lead line, etc. This has been a very exciting round of horse back riding lessons for me.

OBAMA'S CHOICE OF BIBLE VERSE

I just found out this isn't a true story. Sorry about that.. It does seem to fit our president though. It is something he might say.

A friend sent this to me in an email and I thought it was amazing and I wanted to share with you all.

It amazes me how God is able to show His presence and send messages to those who will listen, and DO believe in His presence and plan. The Lord has a way of revealing to those of us who know Him and those that don't!

Think about this!

Obama gave a big speech about how his faith is so "important" to
him. In an attempt to convince the American people that he should be
president, he said his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3. Of course the speech writers meant John 3:16, but nobody in the Obama camp is familiar enough with scripture to catch the error, including Obama.

Do you know what John 16:3 says? "And they will do these things
because they have not known the Father nor Me."

The Holy Spirit works in strange ways.

A Day Out Of The House.

Yesterday was my first day out of the house since I had my wisdom teeth removed. So yesterday I went to horse back riding. I told the teacher that I didn't want to trot because I was still in pain from having my teeth pulled. She was so sweet and said that I didn't have to. Believe it or not it hurts my mouth more when I walk than when I ride a horse. My horse back riding teacher told me why. She said it hurts more when I walk because there is pressure that comes back up to your mouth when you walk. But it doesn't hurt when you ride a horse because there is no pressure that comes back up because it's all on the horse and not you. I thought that was very interesting. So after horse I went to the orthodontist for my check up to make sure that everything was ok in my mouth. She said there was no infection or anything. So that was good. She gave me a syrenge to help me clean out way back there that way no infections would grow or anything. The syrenge has really helped my mouth to feel better. One side is still really sore. That side will heal it's just healing slower than the other side. Just thought I would give you all an update. I'm doing fine. I'm sleeping through the night now. Thanks for all your prayers.

Wisdom Teeth Recovery Day 7

Today is day 7 of since I had my wisdom teeth pulled. It has a been a long and hard recovery. I was able to sleep through the night last night for the first time since I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Ya. Yesterday I had to go off the pain killers because my stomach was refusing them. Some friends told me some natural ideas for pain killers and things that would help the swelling go down. The thing my friends told me to take that would help the swelling go down is Bromelain. The natural pain killer I'm taking is Arnica. It really helps. Thanks girls for telling me a few natural remedies for pain and swelling. I go back to the orthodontist tomorrow for a check up to make sure there is no infection or anything. Thanks to all my friends for praying for me during this hard time. I think I'm finally on the mend. Ya. Tomorrow I have horse back riding. Whoo hoo. . I had to miss the last horse lesson, youth group, knitting class, etc because of recovery. Now I can finally get back to life and go to youth group, knitting class, horse back riding lessons, etc. Thanks again for the prayers everybody. I'm still not able to eat a lot of solid foods because my mouth is still soar. Hopefully soon I will be able to eat most foods again. I'll blog again soon.

Wisdom Teeth Recovery Day 4

Recovery day 4 of having my wisdom teeth pulled.

So today is day 4 of my recovery. I'm not doing that well today. I got kinda sick this morning. We didn't make it to church. For the last 4 days I've had to keep ice on my cheeks. I have a lot of swelling and pain still. Mom stayed home with me and Dad and brother went to Uncle Steve's church today. This morning I got an email from my friend M. She just emailed me to see how I was doing and if I made it to church today. In the email she attached the cutest picture. Here it is.

Thanks M. I just wanna say a big thanks to all my friends who are sticking by my side and praying for me. Thanks girls. It means a lot. Keep praying. When Dad and Brother came home from Uncle Steve's church Dad walked in the door with flowers and cards for me. The flowers were from Grandma. Thanks Grandma. The cards were from my Aunt Renee, cousin Emily and her friend. Thanks girls. I want to say thanks to Mom for sitting with me when I want her to sit with me. Mom has taken good care of me these past almost 4 days. She sits with me, gets me my pain pills, gets me ice water, ice packs, makes me fruit smoothies and even made me vanilla pudding. It's soy free, dairy free, wheat free (except there is kamut flour in it). Thanks Mom. I love you. See you around.

A Pleasant Surprise

Hi Friends and Family,

Today I was checking my blogger dashboard and I was reading several of my friends posts I found out that my friend Rachel had been awarded the "Creative Blogger award" by one her friends. As I got down to the bottom of her blog post I saw that she had awarded 7 of her friends that same award. I was one of the seven people she awarded. Thanks so much Rachel. That was very sweet of you. Also in her post she posted 7 things that nobody knew about her. I will do the same.

1. I will be in a horse show for the special olympics in September.
2. I'm going to be a medical transcriber in a couple years.
3.I have a new friend from another country.
4. My favorite movie is the Road To Avonlea movies.
5. My cousin who used to live in barstow was crowned "Barstow Rodeo Queen" a while back.
6.I just started reading the "Paddington" series.
7. I love going to the CHEA conventions.

Bye Bye Wisdom Teeth!

Yesterday I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I wasn't worried about it. I thought it would hurt less than my last nasal surgery did. Boy, was I wrong! Yesterday I couldn't talk or say anything for about 5 hours after the procedure. I was completely numb and in pain. I still have quite a bit of swelling and pain. I am on a really strong pain killer. My orthodonist, DR. House is so sweet. She gave me a goody bag with 2 little stuffed animal horses and pink things. She gave me the horses because she knew I was horse crazy. She gave me the little pink stuff because she knows that is my favorite color. I usually wear pink everywhere I go. One day I went to the orthodontist and I wasn't wearing pink. Right when I walk in everybody asked me, "where is the pink today? Why are you wearing blue and not pink?" I had no idea I would be asked that question. I thought it was pretty funny and sweet. The procedure went well yesterday. I just love my orthodontist. God has really blessed me with an orthodontist that is really a true friend to me. This is one of the only doctors that I know that is really a true friend and not just a doctor. After she did the procedure on me, a little while later that day she called me to see how I was doing. Mom was talking to her on the phone yesterday and all the sudden mom said to her "I think she's gonna live doctor." and DR. House said "good, because I really like her." Thanks DR. House. That means a lot to me. Your so sweet. Yesterday I was thinking, why did I ever have this done? They were causing me pain. I know it's good to have them out and I will be happy there out in the long run. It just doesn't seem that way yet. This too will pass. Thanks to all my friends for sticking by my side and praying for me. Thanks a lot girls. Keep praying. Thanks. I'll keep you posted. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hope this is the last procedure for me for a very long time. I'm crossing my fingers. I have to be on soft foods for a few days. Right now I'm living off of fruit smoothies. A friend of mom's told us that we could put any food in the blender and add some form of liquid and that's it's not groce. She was right. Last night for dinner I had purreed beans and rice. It was good. It tasted just like beans and rice.

Yesterday was also my Dad's 5oth birthday. Happy belated birthday Dad!

Dad's 50th suprise Star Trek birthday party.

Mom knew that she wanted to throw Dad a surprise party for his 50th birthday. Well, Last Sunday night was my Dad's 50th Surprise birthday party. It was Star Trek theme. He is a pretty hard core trekkee. We sent out and evite to everybody. Here is what the evite said.

IT'S A SURPRISE!!!!! Come aboard the Starship Enterprise as we celebrate Herb's 75th and Ralph's 50th birthdays Trekkie style. Feel free to come in costume. You can come dressed as ANYTHING and it will fit into one of the Star Trek episodes (medieval, ancient Greece, mobsters, the 30's, western, alien, you name it!). Arrive at 4:30. The birthday boys will get here at 5:00. If you can't make it at 4:30, come any time. We'll be here. (Just, please, don't come right at 5:00.) Come for fun, food (a casual outdoor dinner), and laughs. Children may want to bring a change of clothes. We will be having phaser (watergun) fights. No worries adults, you will be able to stay dry. Here is a little of what we did in order.

As you already know the surprise party was for my Grandpa and Dad. Lets just say that we had to come up with some pretty good fibs to fool Dad so he wouldn't know that we were throwing him a surprise party. That morning Dad went to Uncle Steve's church. That was part of the plan to get Dad out of the house that morning so we could decorate. So Sunday morning Aunt Bev came to help us decorate for the party. Then my other friend and her mom came to help with the banners. A little before 5:00 pm Grandpa came. So we all yelled "SURPRISE" to Grandpa.
Then at 5:00 Dad came. This time we had to groups of people that were going to yell surprise. So at 5:00 the first group of people yelled "SURPRISE".

After we did the quiz we did a skit that my uncle wrote.
The kids did the first part of the skit then the grown ups did the second part of the skit.

Here is the skit.
Kids Part
Narrator - The Ship is surrounded by Klingons. It is badly damaged with no means of escape. It seams hopeless. The ship is hit by another blast from the Klingon main disrupter.
Sulu – “Captain, ships deflectors are down to 5%.”
Chekov – “Captain, our photon torpedoes are depleted.”
Uhura – “Captain, Sub-space communication is out.”
Narrator – Kirk doesn’t seam to hear his officers.
Kirk to Spock “Do we have any power in our self destruct program?”
Spock - turns to Kirk and says “Yes Captain, always.”
Kirk looks to Scotty and Says “What would it take to send the chambers of that dialithium to the Klingons?”
Scotty thinks about it and says – “I could do it by letting them out the cargo bay with a small pulsar unit on it. It would blast for only two seconds but that would be enough time to get it in front of those Klingon ships.”
Kirk – “Get on it Chief!”
Uhura – “Captain, we have a transmission coming in from the Klingons.”
Kirk – “Put him on.”
Narrator – A voice of the captain of the Klingon ship comes through the intercom. Klingon – “Your ship is of no further threat; I have disabled all power, shields and weapons. You will surrender to me now or die!”
Kirk – “Chief, where are my dialithium chambers?”
Scotty – “I need a minute Captain”
Kirk – “I don’t have a minute!”
Kirk turns to Uhura and says: “Hail the Captain of the Klingon Flete.
Uhura – “He’s on Captain.”
Kirk turns to the screen and says: “What right do you have to attack my ship in this way? We have not provoked you or your nation.”
Klingon – “I am a Klingon, a warrior race. I do not need a reason. I will destroy any one that stands in the Klingon quest for dominance.”
Kirk signals to the Uhura to cut off the transmission but drawing his finger across his throat. Uhura nods that it is done.
Kirk – “Chief where is my dialithium bombs?”
Scott – “Done Captain” Kirk turns to Sulu and says: “Helm, do we have any phasers?”
Sulu looks back at Kirk and says. “We have one sir.”
Kirk- “Make it a good one! Wait for it to get to the middle of those Klingon ships.”
Sulu – “Aye Captain”
Narrator – Kirk leans over the helm as he watches the box drift toward the lead ship and says: Kirk yells – “Fire!”
Kirks mother – “Jimmie, Captain Kirk, Jimmie it’s time to come in!”
Kirk – “Ah mom, Can’t I have a few more minutes?
Kirks mother – “Right now young man! Dinner is getting cold and you know how your father gets.”
Kirk – “Ok guys I guess I gotta go in now. See you all tomorrow.” Everyone stands up and says their good byes and walks off the stage.

Grown ups part

Narrator - the USS Enterprise is adrift, aflame and surrounded by Romulan Warbirds. Captain Kirk is contemplating what to do next. As he looks up at the view screen he can see another blast coming from the lead Warbird heading straight at him. Kirk Yells:
Kirk - “Scotty, more power to the shields!”
The Chief engineer Scott Turns from his console and says apologetically:
Scott says- “I h’ve given her all she’s got cap’n. There just isn’t any more power to give.”
Narrator – Kirk whispered to himself:
Kirk - “Not good enough Scotty!”
Narrator - Kirk Looks up at the view screens and shouts,
Kirk “Brace for impact!”
Narrator – “The ship lurched and shuddered. (Everyone is thrown to the left and then to the right, then backward. Chekov is thrown from his chair)
Narrator – Kirk knew the Enterprise was dying and he did not have a clue how he was going to pull this one out. Sulu excitedly says
Sulu - “Captain, helm is not answering. We have no power!”
Narrator - Chekov gets up and staggers his way to his seat and says
Chekov - “Shields are gone as vell Keptin! Vhat are ve going to do?”
Narrator – Kirk is thinking to himself as he remembers something from his childhood then says”
Kirk - “Spock, do we have any power left in to the self destruct program?”
Narrator - Spock looks over his left shoulder from his science station consol and says in his monotone voice.
Spock - “Yes Captain, the ship always maintains enough reserve power in its dialithium crystals to destroy itself.”
Narrator - Kirk turning to his chief engineer says.
Kirk - “Could we tap into that power some way Mr. Scott?”
Scott - “ah do na see how Cap’n. That power has its own supply and is cut off from all other controls.”
Narrator - Kirk ponders for a second and says –
Kirk - “Spock could we jettison the dialithium units at the Romulans and detonate them with a shot from a phaser.”
Narrator - Spock stands from his station and clasps his hand behind his back and says.
Spock - “Fascinating – theoretically it can be done. But it would not destroy all the ships”
Narrator – Kirk walks two paces towards Spock and says
Kirk – “It doesn’t have too. All we need is a hole in their line and the distraction to get us out of the middle of this mess.”
Narrator – Scotty understanding the concept says in awe of his captain.
Scott – “Aye, ah could….. Ah need a second Cap’n.”
Kirk says - “I don’t have a second Scotty!”
Narrator - A strange crackling noise came over the view finder. Uhura’s turns and looks at Kirk and loudly says.
Uhura - “Captain we are being hailed by the Romulan Flagship.”
Narrator - Kirk turns to the front and says –
Kirk - “Put it on screen Uhura.”
Narrator – the voice of the Romulan commander fills the bridge.
Kiras – “We have you surrounded; your weapons are depleted, your shields are all but gone. Your ship can not take another volley from our weapons. It is hopeless for you. You will stand down your vessel and follow us to Romulan territory where you will be interned and imprisoned for your acts of war against the Romulan world.”
Narrator - Kirk angrily says –
Kirk “We have made no such attacks or even threats against your world.”
Narrator - the Romulan voice yells.
Keras - “I will not listen to your federation lies!”
Narrator - Kirk turns to Scott with a question on his face. Scott has the answer he is looking for and gives him a wink and whispers.
Scott whispers– “Aye Cap’n. Ah can do it but it will take me a few minutes.”
Narrator - Kirk whispers back –
Kirk - “We don’t have a few minutes.”
Narrator – as Scott turns back to his console he says
Scott – “Aye, but this time it’s best ah can do.”
Narrator - Kirk says hurriedly –
Kirk -“Get on it!”
Narrator – Kirk turns to the screen, thinking for a second. Glances at Spock as McCoy enters the bridge. Just then a Red shirted crewman walks past McCoy. McCoy watches the Red Shirt walk past him and says to himself in his southern draw says;
McCoy - “HE’S dead Jim!”
Narrator – McCoy walks onto the bridge and says excitedly to Kirk.
McCoy – “What in blazes is going on? Can’t you keep this ship from jumping all over space? I’m a doctor not a rodeo cowboy.”
Narrator – Kirk glares at McCoy then snaps back.
Kirk – “I’m doing my best Bones!”
Narrator – the sound of the Romulan voice comes over the intercom, this time angry
Romulan Voice angrily – “Obviously you do not take our threat seriously! Fire disrupters!”
Narrator – Everyone on the bridge looks up at the view screen. They can see the power forming at the front of the war-bird. They are scared. Uhura gasps, and cover her eyes. Sulu screams a little then covers his mouth. Chekov covers his ears. Spock starts to cry. Everyone on the bridge slowly turns and looks at Spock. McCoy walks to Spock and says:
McCoy – What’s the matter Spocky, are you a little scared?”
Narrator – Spock still sniffling Gives McCoy the Vulcan hand gesture and says:
Spock – “Bite me Bones!”
Narrator - Scott turns from his console and says –
Scott - “It’s ready, Cap’n!”
Narrator – They all look up at the screen in terror as they see the blast about to hit the enterprise: Kirk yells –
Kirk - “Hold on!”
Narrator – The ship is hit by a huge ball of searing plasma! Everyone shakes, then staggers to the right, then to the left, then to the front finally they all fall to the ground.
Narrator – “Flames fly from the navigation station. The lights go out on the bridge instantly replaced by the red glow of the emergency lights. Spock is lying near his station unmoving.”
Narrator – Kirk uses his captain’s chair to help him get up, he coughs then calls out.
Kirk coughs then calls - “Spock!”
Narrator - McCoy crawls his way to Spock. McCoy looks at Kirk and says.
McCoy - “He’s dead Jim.”
Narrator – McCoy crawls his way to Scott who is leaning over his station. Checking Mr. Scott he says.
McCoy - “He’s dead Jim!”
Narrator – McCoy crawls over to Uhura who is lying on the floor and says.
McCoy - “She’s dead Jim!”
Narrator – McCoy stands and wobbles over to the helm and navigation. He checks Sulu and then Chekov.
McCoy – “They’re dead Jim!’
Narrator – Chekov looks up and says.
Chekov- “I’m not dead yet!”
Narrator – McCoy says
McCoy – “Yes you are!”
Narrator – Chekov
Chekov – “No, I’m not!”
Narrator – McCoy
McCoy – “You will be in a minute!”
Narrator – Sulu looks up and says
Sulu – “I’m not dead yet either!”
Narrator – McCoy says disgustedly
McCoy – “Shut up both of you! You’re dead! I’m a doctor not a doctor…a….oh.”
Narrator – Kirk turns to the engineering station and says
Kirk – “Scotty, are you still with us?”
Narrator – Scotty lifts his head from the console and says.
Scott – “Here Cap’n. Apparently the rumors of my demise ha’e been greatly exaggerated!’
Narrator – Kirk to Scott
Kirk – “Glad to hear it. Deploy the Dialithium Crystals from the self destruct.”
Narrator – Kirk turns to Sulu and says
Kirk – “Sulu, do we have any phasers?”
Narrator – Sulu looks back at Kirk and says nervously.
Sulu – “We have one shot left.”
Narrator – Kirk Pats Sulu on the shoulder and says.
Kirk- “Make it a good one! Wait for it to get to the middle of the Romulan ships.”
Narrator – Sulu fixes his eyes on the view screen ahead of him and says to Kirk and himself
Sulu – “Aye Captain”
Narrator – Kirk leans over Sulu as he watches the box drift toward the lead ship says:
Kirk yells – “Fire!”
Narrator – The hum of the phaser rings out throughout the ship, the power builds then releases at the target. It hits its target and explodes in a brilliant flash. Two war birds blow up in the light and the lead ship is damaged. Kirk Says
Kirk – “Punch it Mr. Sulu!”
Narrator – Sulu hits the button but nothing happens. Kirk whips around and faces Scotty. saying questioningly
Kirk – “Scotty? Why aren’t we moving?”
Narrator – Scott looks at Kirk bewildered and Says.
Scott – “Cap’n we must ha’e been to close to the explosion. It has overloaded the impulse engines.
Narrator – Spock begins to stand up and says:
Spock – “We may be able to jump directly into warp Captain.”
Narrator – Kirk walks over to Spock, with tears forming in his eyes giving Spock a big hug. Kirk says:
Kirk – “I thought you were dead.”
Narrator – Spock does not return the hug but says:
Spock – “Jim not in front of the crew.”
Narrator – Scott looks at Spock like he’s crazy and says.
Scott – “are ya daft man? That could blow up the remaining crystals.”
Narrator – Looking back at Scott, Spock says.
Spock – “Mr. Scott, I have calculated the chance of that happening at it is insignificant.
Narrator – the hum of a transporter beam is heard on the deck as the Romulan commander walks on the bridge with a disrupter pointed at Kirk. He says:
Keras says. “Kirk, I will kill you personally for what you did to my fleet!”
Narrator – Spock looks at the commander bewildered takes a few steps toward him and says:
Spock – “Father?”
Narrator – the Commander turns and says to Spock.
Keras – “I am Keras, the commander of the flagship of the Romulan Empire.”
Narrator – Spock shakes his head and says:
Spock – “I could have sworn he…, he looks just like my father.”
Narrator – Spock continues to walk back to Kirk thinking. When he gets to Kirk he says
Spock – “Wait a minute, Keras backward is Serak. You are my father!”
Narrator – Keras shakes his head and says
Keras – “No I am Kirks father!”
Narrator – Kirk taken by surprise does a double take and says.
Kirk – “Dad?”
Narrator – Spock runs to the side of Keras and says.
Spock – You always like me best, go ahead and shoot him!”
Narrator – Everyone on the bridge looks at Spock. Even Keras turns his head to him and says:
Keras – “I do not need another reason to shoot him. He has attacked my home world and destroyed half my fleet.”
Narrator – Keras raises his disrupter to shoot Kirk. Kirk looks at Keras and drops down to his knees. With his hands up he says:
Kirk whines –“But Daddy, I’m your son!”
Narrator – Spock whispers in the ear of Keras. Keras says:
Keras – “It seams that Spock wants to be captain of the Enterprise.”
Narrator – Spock turns to Kirk and gives him the Vulcan Peace Sign and says:
Spock – “Live long and prosper……………NOT!!!”
Narrator – Keras holds the weapon on Kirk then lowers it. Keras says:
Keras – I can’t shoot him, he’s my son and besides that what would I tell his mother. Come on Jimmie, Spocky let’s go home.
Narrator – with those word Keras – Serak puts his arms around both of his sons and walks off the bridge to rule the empire.

My cousin, Emily was down at Grandma's house recently. Grandma, Emily and her brother, Wes went to Wal-Mart. Emily saw this ballet costume for my dog and she said that she couldn't resist getting it for me. Here are some pictures of Patty Cake in her new ballet costume. Too cute. Thanks Emily.

Chocolate chip cookies!

Since both Mom and I are off wheat, I am also off dairy, all artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives and am on a low glycemic diet, we have to cook from scratch a lot. Our newest thing has been making cookies and muffins. We just had our first attempt at making chocolate chip cookies. We used Kamut because studies show that 70% of the population that can't have wheat can have kamut. Kamut is also low glycemic. To bring down the glycemic index we put in the cookies: rice bran, coconut flour (which makes the cookies sweeter) and pureed white beans. Who would have guessed? We made the chocolate chips from scratch too. We used Coconut oil, pure chocolate, and part carob to make the chocolate chips. The cookies turned out very yummy. Here are some pictures.

We had to take 7 suitcases on our vacation. 3 of them were all food for me. I have a ton of food allergies which makes it hard to eat what everyone else is eating. I can't have wheat, dairy, soy, artificial colors, flavors, no artificial junk at all. So we had to bring a lot of food with us. It would have been a lot harder to get all this if it were not for Trader Joes. We got most everything there. Here is a picture of a lot of the food that we brought with us.

After we laid out all the food and took pictures of it my brother decided to make a tower out of my food. Here is a picture of the food tower he made.

By the time the vacation was pretty much over most of the food was eaten. Mom planned the food out just right. That is one of the vacation prep things we had to do. I will post more things about our vacation in another post.

God has opened doors for me that I thought were not even possible.
Here are the stories.

Ever since I was little I loved to dance. I have been in dance since I was 5 years old.

One day Mom and Dad told me that we were going to go see "River Dance" live.

She told me what it was about and I got very excited because I love anything that is about dancing. After I saw "River Dance" I knew that that was what I wanted to do. So Mom put me in Irish Dance lessons. I just love it. We finally found my nitch. In Irish dance they have competitions where you can compete. Most studios really push competing. But I have no intentions of competing. I just want to dance for people and make them happy. One way I wanted to do that was to Irish dance for an old folks home.

When I was in Keepers

we would go to old folks home and perform for them. That is where I got that idea because I wanted to use my tallent for God. But I thought it was just a big dream. I never ever thought it would happen. Well, a couple years ago Mom was in Wal-Mart. She just happened to bump into my old Awana leader. She told us that this one lady we didn't like had left and that now it was safe to come back. So we came back a little while later I met my friend -M. Her and I have a lot in common so we clicked and became good friends. A couple of months ago I met her aunt. Who works at an old folks home. She knows I take Irish dance lessons and she asked me personally if I would Irish dance for the ederly. Of course I said "Yes". So March 14 I Irish danced for an old folks home.

God has just opened doors for me that I did not even think were possible. That is the first story.

Now for the second story. When Mom was pregnant with me she had severe IUGR. So I was pre-mature. I was born 3 weeks early. I weighed 3 pounds 15 ounces.
I was very tiny. When I was older we found out that I had some issues. I was born with amblyopia, Sensory Integration Dysfuntion, terrets, dyspraxia, severe allergies and what not. As I got older I decided that when I grow up I want to be a special ed teacher. That is my dream. Because I have issues and I know what it's like to be teased by other kids and I can relate to kids with special needs.
Well, last year I got a dog.

Mom thought my dog woud make a great therapy dog. So -M's aunt asked me If I wanted to bring my dog to the old folks home. I said "Yes" again. So today we took my dog to the old folks home. She brought such joy to everybody's faces. I will be putting her dog therapy classes. I'm so happy that she is going to be a therapy dog because that is kinda on the same line as special ed. I would really like to be a special ed teacher one day. I really want to use my issues for God. Because He can turn things that look bad into something great. He has. If you give all your problems to God it's amazing to see what God can do with them. God can use you in ways you don't expect. That is the second story. God is an amazing God. He has just really opened doors for me .

Home sweet home

We got back home to California Tuesday night about 9:30. We flew out of Dallas, TX. We had 2 hops on the way back. One stop was in El Paso Texas and the other stop was in Phoenix, Arizona where we changed planes. Our friend came and picked us up from the airport. After we got home we went and picked up my puppy from Grandma's house. She was so happy to see me. I will post the video later. It doesn't seem to be working.
Then Wednesday, Dad and Brother went to pick up brother's dog out in Marietta, CA. Again, I will post the video later. It too is broken for some reason. Wednesday we all slept in and had a lazy day. This week was pretty much just resting and recouping and getting over jet lag. Tonight we are going to a friends graduation.
A couple days ago, I got to do a skype call with my friend Annie. That was really fun. It's good to be home in my own room, with my own bed and my own puppy dog. I missed all my friends. Good to be back and see all my friends. Tomorrow I have church and youth group. I Can't wait. Well, that's all for now folks. I will post again soon.

Day 13 of our 14 day trip.

Today is day 13 of our 14 day trip. Yesterday we went to the abby with Mom's hippy cousin. We got to see goats, a lama, a very effectionate dog, chickens, and a cat. We also got to see Mom's other couin from Holland. She also got to see her other aunt. Today we went to the Zoo Exotics. We got to pet animals from Asia, Africa, Peru, Australia, you name it. We got to hand feed all the animals. They take you on a tram ride and you can get up close to all the animals.

They had deer,

Emus, ponies, camels,

zebras,

antillope, water buffalos, a sheep,

lamas

Scottish long haired cows,

bison, elk, and pigme goats.

They also had a petting zoo. On the tram ride we saw lots of baby animals. Just a little while ago we went to a waffle house for dinner and decided that we wouldn't do that again. We are now at the hotel room in Fort Worth. Tomorrow we see Mom's aunt again and then we catch the plane. Tonight is our last night at the hotel room. I have had lots of fun on the trip, but I can't wait to be home in my own bed with my puppy. This is my final blog post for this trip. I hope y'all have enjoyed following me on my journey to TN, MO, and TX. I miss you guys and I can't wait to see you when I get back. For now, bye bye.
